Post KL we spent two nights in Singapore. Where, for the first time in three months, I could drink the tap water and put the toilet paper in the toilet. Singapore was crazy. A huge and very rich city with some interesting laws; Chewing gum is banned, you can get whipped as a punishment, and you get fined 500 dollars for eating on the train. Again I went to crossfit the day we arrived and again the gym and people were amazing. This workout killed me; 200 double unders, 50 over head squats, 50 pull-ups, and a 400 meter run… Twice. I now know what it feels like when you return to crossfit after two months.
After working out we got dinner, walked a bit, got some dessert, and then I got a second dinner. We met the owner of a small shop and he told us all about the history of Singapore. It is so interesting, I love learning about the history of the places I visit, from the people who actually love there!
The next morning we went on a free walking tour of Singapore held by a couch surfer. It was so much fun! We ate some great food, saw some cool sights, and met some amazing people.
Has it been 4 years since Singapore? That’s crazy! 🙂 Hope you’re well, Cori!
